Emily Jean Stone was born to Krista Jean
Stone and Jeffrey Charles Stone in Scottsdale, Arizona, on November 6, 1988.
She is a homemaker. Jeffrey Charles Stone is the CEO and founder of the
contracting firm, Stone Contracting. She has Swedish as well as British Isles
origins. Stone began her stage career in the ages of a child, as a member of
the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in
an adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows". In her
teens Stone performed in of many productions before she took the decision to
pursue a career in acting. According to the official version of the story she
performed a PowerPoint slide presentation that was made possible by the
Madonna's Hollywood and called "Project Hollywood" in an effort to
persuade her parents and let her to drop out of school and relocate to Los
Angeles. The pitch was successful and she and her mother relocated to LA after
completing her education at home. She then spent her days auditioning. Her TV
breakthrough when she was awarded the role of Laurie Partridge in the VH1
Reality/Talent show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004) that resulted in a
variety of small TV roles over the following years. After several successful
performances she was chosen to play Jules in Superbad (2007). Her success as
Olive was a highlight of her role in Easy A (2010) followed by many more roles.
In Phoenix, Arizona, she attended Xavier College Preparatory. Although she's a
redhead her natural hair shade her hair is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who
suggested she switch her hair color to Superbad (2007) and she loved it so much
that she chose to keep the color. She persuaded her parents to allow her to
move to Hollywood when she turned 15 by creating the PowerPoint presentation
with the title, Project Hollywood. Her first experience in acting at the age of
11 years old. age in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she starred
in over 16 stage productions as well as performing the theatre's comedy improv
troupe. Caylee Cowan also appeared at the Valley Youth Theatre.
