Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
August 26, 2002 is an American musician and singer. The release of
"Ransom," his 2019 single, helped him become a major star. The track
was also featured on his mixtape debut We Love You Tecca (2019) that peaked at number
4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also featured singles Love Me and Did It
Again. The debut album of his studio called Virgo World (2020) was released at
number 10 on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100's
top-charting tracks "Dolly" as well as "When You Down". The
second mixtape, We Love You Tecca 2, was released in August 2021 and included
"Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony sharpe
was the child of Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26 2002, in Queens,
New York City. Sharpe was born in Queens in Springfield Gardens. However,
Sharpe eventually moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe was a child with
dreams of becoming an athlete in basketball, but Sharpe switched to music when
he was 12. He was a student at Lawrence High School. When Tecca was nine years
old, Tecca acquiesced to his passion for music by rapping with his buddies
using his Xbox. The two would make diss tracks about each other. One of them
was uploaded to SoundCloud several years ago, however the track has since been
deleted. When he was a child, he didn't have any intentions of pursuing music a
living and instead envisioned becoming an NBA superstar. But, during middle
school, his interest in basketball faded and began to consider taking the music
seriously. His first track to gain some recognition, "Tectri", was
recorded in collaboration with his buddy, Lil Gummybear, and was released in
the beginning of 2017. Some of the tracks he was working on include
"Callin". A year later his career was beginning to gain momentum with
his hit single "Ransom" and was originally uploaded on Cole Bennett's
Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd in 2019. The track ranked 4 on the
Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track has been a hit with more than 90 million
Spotify plays and over 300,000,000 YouTube views.
