Marcia Harvey
Marcia Harvey is an African-American
writer, best known because she was the ex-wife of comedic legend and TV host
Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her private life a secret and away from the
media. Steve was not able to attain the fame and fortune he's currently
enjoying, yet they were married for 14 years. The exact reasons for the
couple's separation weren't known, and there have been rumors of it being heard
in Hollywood. Some claim that Steve Harvey is cheating while others blame him
for deciding to pursue comedy as his field of work. The tragic events of her
life can be traced to the fact that Steve quit her and his two daughters when
she was expecting their third child. Despite her struggles she has managed to
make an excellent career in fashion design as well as writing. She is the
writer of 'Marcia's Eyes To The Soul, 'Marcia's Poems From The Heart, and
Marcia's Thoughts from The Mind. Children are inspired by her generosity and
kindness. Marcia Harvey was raised in an African-American family and has a poor
financial situation. She began working for a department store named 'Saks Fifth
Avenue'. She came across Steve after a while at a friend's wedding party. They
met and fell in love. They were married in 1980. The couple had twin girls in
1982, and Steve worked as an insurance salesman. Steve was disillusioned with
his job and wanted to be entertainer, particularly stand-up comedy. He and
Marcia were unable to get together, and reports indicated that they'd been
living separately since 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed largely from her
marriage to Steve Harvey, and their divorce. Although their divorce proceedings
in 1994 were kept secret but it's evident that Marcia Harvey was expecting
their third child at the time they split up. Marcia filed for divorce in 1993.
After the divorce, and Steve Harvey's refusal to pay alimony and child support,
Marcia was forced to take legal action.
