Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked among the top two athletes at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix completed high school and signed a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to win the 200 meter race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her races.
